What We Do

Parks for London Network

Parks for London acts as a network for organisations and groups. These groups own, manage, support or are involved with London’s parks and green spaces.

These comprise:

Capel Manor College Consultants Friends Group Network
Greater London Authority Housing Associations Landowners, developers and planners
Landscape contractors Lee Valley Regional Park Authority London and Royal Boroughs
London Parks

Benchmarking Group

Park Trusts Statutory organisations
The Royal Parks Universities & Research Institutes Voluntary sector

We work with these organisations to maximise, share and improve information. Good practice and new ideas are championed. These are made available to everyone within the green community and to interested members of the public. We explore and implement new ways of sharing information using technology through our wide range of networks and connections.

Knowledge and Research Sharing

Parks for London use our pooled knowledge to promote good practice. We advise those managing, working in and maintaining green spaces on the issues, challenges and innovations that affect them.

We commission and carry out research to keep up to date with the state of London parks. This includes gathering evidence to support and strengthen them and find new ways to sustain them. We also share our research and other tools and information. This is so anyone with a part to play in sustaining our green spaces can do so to the highest quality.

Campaigns and Events

Parks for London take part in and support campaigns to stand up for London’s parks and green spaces. We contribute to consultations, calls for information and research from our expert knowledge and experience.

We run, participate in and promote events, seminars and conferences. This is to increase and share knowledge and ideas in order to future proof our parks and greens spaces.
