How we are funded

Parks for London’s is mainly funded by voluntary annual partnership contributions from London’s land managers and other organisations with an interest in supporting and developing London’s Green Infrastructure.

We are pleased to report that in 2019-20 the number of  London Boroughs supporting us increased to 28 out of 32; in addition to which the we had continued support from The Royal Parks, Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, The City of London Corporation, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Peabody, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, a number of London park trusts and parks contractors. We would like to thank all our supporters for their on-going partnership with us and without whom our work would not be possible, you can view a full list organisations supporting us below.

We would also like to thank GL Hearn who generously sponsored the publication and launch of Good Parks for London 2019 GL Hearn have sponsored the report since its first edition in 2017, we are grateful for their support and look forward to our continuing collaboration in 2020.

Maintaining funding for Parks for London (PfL) is increasingly important. London’s parks and green spaces continue to be subject to budget cuts at a time when our demands and expectations on them is growing; they have a multi-functional and essential role to play in not only mitigating many aspects of urban living from climate change to air pollution, but also supporting and facilitating community cohesion, health and well-being, wildlife and biodiversity, leisure activities and our connection to nature. Our role, in supporting land managers, providing a strategic pan-London overview, connecting sectors and encouraging innovation is growing.
